Preventative Maintenance and Reduction of Loss

I have found that many of my service clients often start out calling when something stops working. We fix the issue, they resume their scheduled activities and everyone is happy. Until another issue arises, and they have to call us back again. Sometimes these fixes are minor, lights out, a failed receptacle, sometimes they’re major - a big expensive piece of equipment fails, and its never expected and its always at the worst time and it always effects a central part of their operation.

Equipment failure causes down time, and down time means revenue loss. The bad news is that equipment failures will happen, the good news is we can alleviate down time and we can identify problems in systems before they are disasters, and sometimes we can do some very simple maintenance that will keep equipment from failing altogether.

We offer service agreements that touch on all of the electrical systems in a facility:

  • lighting maintenance - site inspections and repairs of lights that are out

  • emergency lighting maintenance - site inspections, record keeping of inspections, documentation of repairs, assurance of functionality

  • power quality maintenance - inspections of distribution gear and utilization points

  • infrared scanning of service equipment and motor terminations - IR imaging gives us insight that the naked eye can’t deliver safely. It gives us in the moment feedback of temperature variations on conductors, and potential points of failure that can typically be rectified before they become a problem.

  • visual inspections

  • torque inspections on equipment terminals insure proper connection of wire to equipment

  • grounding systems inspections - the grounding system is what keeps the voltage in electrical systems stable, and if not properly maintained can lead to serious personal injury and costly property damage

The takeaway from this is maintenance does not need to be a reactionary part of your operation. You don’t have to wait for things to fail to call me. Let’s work together and come up with a plan that works for your business that can reduce your exposure to lost time due to equipment failure, and let me manage your electrical maintenance and free you up to worry about what’s important, running your business.
