Take an inventory of the everyday items you are accustomed to that are reliant on electricity. From the moment we wake up (and while we sleep) we are dependent on electricity and electronics. Now consider what that inventory would have looked like just 10 years ago, or 20 years ago. My point is that inventory list is growing, and it is growing rapidly. That trend will continue with EV’s, PEV’s and PHEV’s

Tesla has led the market from the front, and the major auto manufacturers are following suit. Many have introduced their own EV’s and manufacturers that have not introduced an EV, well, you can bet that they are working on development. Whatever the consumers reason, status, environmental, tech enthusiasts, there is no denying the direction the automotive industry is heading towards EV’s dominating the market place.

This rapidly expanding market is highly dependent on Electricians providing the expertise to provide safe reliable installations and to help establish industry guidelines. “Building owners, developers, urban planners, and regulators will also be key players in the advancement of EV charging stations. However, these constituents could also be potential inhibitors to new EV infrastructure based on challenges in cost and retrofits.”*

The white house has announced a plan to “accelerate and deploy charging stations, create good-paying, union jobs, and enable a clean transportation future. President Biden’s American Jobs Plan includes a transformational $15 billion investment to fund this vision and build a national network of 500,000 charging stations.” The U.S. Department of Energy has provided some useful resources to help planners and local leaders to prepare for the adoption of the EV. you can find these resources at Alternative Fuels Data Center: Plug-In Electric Vehicle Readiness (energy.gov) The State and Federal Government have provided an abundance of resources and incentives like rebates, grants, tax credits to encourage adopting electric vehicles and we have the information needed to help you maximize your investment.
